Convergence Divided is a fine-art based body of work that shows an external manifestation of Wasserman’s personal identity as it deals with big divisions in life. “This fine art conceptual self-portrait and landscape series explores spirituality as it intersects with identity in memory and dreams,” says Jenn. The images do not follow a linear timeline but are a poetic journey that combine her personal life experiences with spiritual beliefs, dreams, and goals.

Jenn Brooke Wasserman has been a photographer for over thirty years, with the last 14 years running a professional commercial and portrait photo studio. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2013, andher Master of Arts in Photography (MA) at Academy of Art University in May 2022. She is scheduled to graduate with her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in May 2023.
She loves to mix old and new in her work. This can be seen in the tools, medium, and prints. Some work will utilize new digital cameras and digital darkroom, but then will be presented with an older print process. Other works are created with older film, pinhole cameras, or tintypes. She will then scan these images and digitally edit and print them. The idea of mixing old and new is a way she can bring the past to the present and remind those in the present to still look to their past.
