David’s workshop will be an ekphrastic writing session, wherein participants will view images he selected and will generate creative responses in both poetry and prose forms. He will also discuss ekphrastic writing in a more general sense and provide examples in order to hopefully inspire participants in their own work.
David Armand was born and raised in Louisiana. He has published four novels, two collections of poetry, and a memoir. His latest book, Mirrors, is forthcoming from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Press, and a full length poetry collection, The Evangelist, is forthcoming from Mercer University Press in 2022.
