The Art of Albert Walker

At the Central ARTSTATION

Albert Walker often had his eye to the sky when creating Art, whether it was to capture the almost invisible wing beat of a hummingbird or the sheer power and boldness of a B-52 Bomber. Walker painted anything that flew--owls, red birds, and mallard ducks and every airplane that soared into the wild blue yonder from the P40 War Hawk to the B-1B Bomber. He painted with detail, accuracy and the heart of a former Air Force pilot. That is what made Walker’s art so special to those who saw it on the wall behind a friend's desk, for sale at the Red River Revel Arts Festival, or documenting history at the Global Power Museum at Barksdale Air Force Base. Albert Walker's art will be celebrated at a retrospective opening at the Central Artstation at 801 Crockett St., at the corner of Common and Crockett in downtown Shreveport on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will also be a BIG WEEKEND SALE of Albert Walker work Wednesday, March 1 through Saturday March 4.
